• The age of the candidates who belong to the General Category or Economically Weaker Section (EWS) must be between 18 and 25 years. The selection of the candidates for constable under HP Police Constable Recruitment 2026 will be based on the following steps:

Physical Test:

The candidates who have applied for this recruitment will have to first face the physical test, in which the performance of the candidates will be measured based on the Physical Standard Test and the Physical Efficiency Test.

Physical Standard Test:

Physical Efficiency Test (For Females)

• Female candidates will have to run for a distance of 800 Meters and will have to complete the race within 3 minutes 45 seconds.
• Female candidates will have to perfume high jump of 1.10 meters and a maximum of three attempts will be given for it.
• Female candidates will have to perform 100 meters race and will have to complete t with 17 seconds in a single attempt.
• The female candidates will have to perform the broad jump, and a maximum of three attempts will be given for it.

Physical Efficiency Test (For Males)

• Male candidates will have to take part into 1500 meters race and will have to complete it within 5 minutes and 30 seconds.
• A high jump of 1.35 meters will be organized, and a maximum of three attempts will be given to clear it.
• Male candidates will have to take part into 100 meter race and the maximum time will be 14 seconds. There will be only a single attempt to crack it.
• A broad jump of 4 meters will be organized, and candidates will get three attempts to pass this level.

The candidates who will be selected in the physical test will be called for the written test. The format of the written test will be as follows:

• Only objective-type questions will be asked.
• There will be 90 questions for 90 marks.
• Negative marking is applicable as there will be a mark deduction for every wrong answer.
• The candidates having an NCC certificate will get an extra 6 marks.
• 4 marks will be given for the height of the candidates.

Document verification: The candidates who will be shortlisted based on their performance in the Physical test and written test will be called for document verification. The candidates need to carry all the required documents during the document verification process.
