The candidates who are willing to fill out the online application form of Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2026 must follow the age guidelines as decided by the officials. The minimum age of the candidates must not be less than 18 years, and the maximum age to fill up the online application form is 28 years as on 1st January 2026. The candidates who will be selected as Constables in both the armed cadre and the police cadre will get a monthly stipend of INR 19900 per month for the first three years from the date of joining.

Physical Standard for Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2026

The candidates who are applying for this recruitment must undergo a physical standard procedure. The height of the male candidates to apply for Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2026 must not be less than 5 feet 7 inches (170.2 cms), and the height of female candidates must not be less than 5 feet 2 inches (157.5 cms). The height of transgender individuals will be the same as the height of female candidates. This physical standard is applicable for both, i.e. Constable in the Armed Forces and Constable in the district forces.

Selection procedure for Punjab Police Constable Recruitment 2026

The selection of the candidates will be done in three stages, that is

• Computer-Based Test
• Physical Screening and Physical Measurement Test
• Document Scrutiny

Stage-1: Computer-Based Test

There will be two papers in computer Based test, i.e. Paper 1 and Paper 2

The number of questions asked in Paper 1 will be 100, and each question carries 1 mark. The total time allotted to solve the questions will be 2 hours.

In paper 2 will be a Punjabi language test. There will be 50 questions in Paper 2, and each question consists of 1 mark. To qualify for this paper, the candidates need to score at least 50% marks. The marks obtained in Paper 2 will not be counted for the selection process, but they are only for language testing purposes.

Stage 2: Physical Screening and Physical Measurement Test
