Age Limit for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026

Educational Qualification for IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026

• The candidates who are willing to fill the online application form of IBPS Clerk Recruitment 2026 need to have a passing degree of graduation in any discipline from a recognized board or university. The board or university from where the candidates have taken a degree must be approved by the government. The candidates with any other similar degree are also eligible to apply for IBPS Clerk Vacancy 2026.

Selection Process of IBPS Clerk Vacancy 2026

The selection of the candidates involves the Preliminary Examination, Main Examination, and Local Language Proficiency Test. The pattern of the examination is as follows:

Preliminary Examination: In the preliminary examination, only objective-type questions will be asked. The total number of questions asked in the preliminary examination will be 100, and the total marks will be 100. The time allotted to solve 100 questions will be 60 minutes. The preliminary examination will cover the following topics:

• English Language
• Numerical Ability
• Reasoning Ability

Main Examination: The candidates who will be selected in the preliminary examination will be invited for the main examination. The main examination covers 155 objective-type questions of 200 marks. The total time allotted to solve the questions asked in the main examination will be 120 minutes. The topics covered in the main examination are as follows:

• General/ Financial Awareness
• General English
• Reasoning Ability and
• Quantitative Aptitude

Negative marking is applicable for wrong answers, as 0.25 marks will be deducted for every wrong answer. The mode of both preliminary and main examinations will be online. There will be no deduction in marks for unsolved questions.

Local Language Proficiency Test: The candidates who qualify the main examination will be invited for a local language proficiency test, in which candidates will be examined based on the language they have selected at the time of filling up the online application form.
