Selection Process of UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2026

The candidates who are applying for UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2026 will be selected based on different selection processes that are mentioned below:

First of all, the candidates will have to go through a written test that is scheduled to be conducted on 19^th July 2026. The written test consists of 2 papers, i.e. paper 1 and paper 2.

Paper 1: Thequestions in Paper 1 will be asked from general ability and intelligence topics. The total number allotted for Paper 1 is 250 marks. The type of questions will be MCQ that will be asked in both Hindi and English.

Paper 2: The topics that are covered in Paper 2 are general studies, essays, and comprehension, which will be worth 200 marks.

Physical Efficiency Test

The candidates who are selected in the written examination of UPSC CAPF AC Recruitment 2026 will be asked for a physical efficiency test. In the physical efficiency test, the candidates will be judged on the following selection processes:

• Race of 100 meters will be conducted, and Male candidates will have to finish the race in 16 seconds, and female candidates will have to finish the race in 18 seconds.
• Again, a race of 800 meters will be conducted that needs to be covered in 03 Minutes 45 seconds for Male candidates, and for female candidates, the time allotted to finish the race is 04 minutes 45 seconds.
• Long jump will also be conducted, in which the male candidates will have to jump for a distance of 3.5 Meters and the female candidates will have to jump for a distance of 3 meters. A total of 3 chances will be given to candidates for the long jump. If the candidates touch the starting line and finish line that 3.5 meters for Male Candidates and 3 meters for female candidates, then that candidate will be declared disqualified.
• The shot put of 7.26 kg will have to be thrown for a distance of 4.5 meters for male candidates, and a total of 3 chances will be given. Female candidates will not take part in the shot put.

Interview/Personality Test

The candidates who are selected in the physical efficiency test will be called for an interview or a personality test, where their personality will be judged. The total number allotted for the interview is 150 marks.

Medical Examination

The candidates who are selected in all the above tests will be called for a medical examination test where the physical and mental state of the candidates will be examined. The medical examination will be conducted under the supervision of a nodal authority that will be appointed by the Ministry of Home Affairs.

The final selection of the candidates will be made on the basis of their performance in the written test, physical efficiency test and medical examination.
